church history
APRIL
1988: The first service led by Rev. Angeles Antenor was held at
Good News
fellowship at 100 Los Baños Avenue, Daly City, CA. The place
was provided free of
of charge for three months.

Leadership training
conducted by Rev. Zeissler as part of the organizational formation
of
the church.

APRIL
1988: First Service

It
was also during this time when a bible study is being held at the
residence of Joseph and
Amy Cabonce at 379 Woodrow St., Daly City. About 8 people meet
and are taught by
Sis. Virgie Cruz and Rev. Zeissler.

Co-existing
was another Bible study group in the house of Milton and Chit Moreno.
Pastor Pajarillo, Eduardo Reyes and Joy Soler took turns in teaching
this gathering.

JULY
1988: The church grew to an average attendance of 15, making it
necessary for them
to move to a new location– the Eagles Social Hall located
at 3344 San Jose Avenue, Daly City.
The church name was changed from Charismatic Christian Center to
Croosroads Christian
Center. Pastor Antenor suggested the said name because of its spiritual
implication–that
every person on earth faces a crossroads(or a defining moment) of
decision pertaining to his
eternal destiny. Jesus Christ is in the middle of that Crossroads.

JULY
1988: First Service at Eagles Social Hall

NOVEMBER
1989: Home Bible Study Cell

SEPTEMBER
1992: The church had outgrown its facilities. God directed them
to relocate
to the Public Storage Park building on Mission Street, Daly City.

SEPTEMBER
1993: It became necessary for the church to move to its fourth location
at
1580 Bryant Street, Daly City near the DMV building.

SEPTEMBER
1993: Grand Opening

1994-1996: In 1994, the church was told to look for another location within
a month. A member,
having seen a building for sale at 45 County Street, Daly City,
claimed in faith that the Lord will
provide this place.The purchase
entailed a series of strong opposition from the enemy, but was
finally accomplished by a miracle from God. In 1995 while in the process of getting the
permit,
the church was accused of illegally accupying a commercial building. They were given two
weeks
to vacate the place. As a result, they have to set out and rent the Eagles Social Hall to
hold the
services.It was
also during these difficult times when Pastor Andy went through
a critical trial in his life.
HIs wife, Sister Abby was diagnosed of a thyroid cancer. Dishearted,
he requested a month
vacation from the ministry, but was considering to quit. During
a Sunday service at Jubilee
Christian Center that he attended, the preacher, Marilyn Hickey
was talking about the discouragement
of David. She pointed at Pastor Andy's direction and said, "God
has a plan for you". Those words
impelled him to go back andneed not finish his one month break.
God is trustworthy. Sister Abby got healed with no chemotheraphy.
During the planning commission
hearing whether or not to grant the permit, the president of the
Homeowners Association objected to
the presence of the church in the neighborhood. The permit was unanimously
granted however.
One
Sunday morning, six months after the permit to occupy the building
was granted, the president
of the Homeowners Association came to church to apologize. He was
limping—he said he had a
major stroke. He affirmed that he was now accepting the church in
the neighborhood. He actually
wrote a poem for the church to be read.

The
church grew spiritually and in numbers during this time. The current
sanctuary seats
approximately 320. Today, our church has an average Sunday attendees
of 350 and still
growing. Ministries continue to grow to reach the various age levels
and needs of the people.
More souls are getting saved, lives are being changed, marriages
and relationships are being
restored, and lives are being dedicated to obey Christ. The church
is beginning to get involved
in foreign missions through church planting and supporting missionaries.
Now celebrating its
18th anniversary, Crossroads Christian Center aims to fulfill its
commitment to its mission
with a passion for the Lord and a Vision for the lost!
